At 2025 Energy Week, APh ePower presented new applications of its dynamic energy-storage technology, highlighting emerging opportunities in the development of technology-based solutions. Corporation Development Director Sean Su commented, “APh ePower holds a leading position in international carbon-credit projects and methodologies. Our original goal remains unchanged—to become a pioneer in technology-based solutions. By converting the carbon-reduction benefits of energy-storage technologies into quantifiable carbon-credit value, we aim to help Taiwan secure a place in the global carbon-economy value chain. This is deeply meaningful.

According to international voluntary carbon-credit standards, technology-based projects primarily involve innovative technologies or equipment that improve energy efficiency. Through periodic monitoring and third-party verification, the resulting carbon-reduction data can be transformed into tradable carbon credits—an essential strategy for companies pursuing long-term sustainability.
APh ePower’s presentation showcased several breakthrough applications, including its Elevator Regenerative Power System, which was winner of this year’s R&D 100 Awards. By using APh ePower’s proprietary dynamic energy-storage technology, elevator energy consumption can be reduced by up to 40%, while enhancing safety and enabling emergency operation during power outages. At the same time, APh ePower highlighted the world’s first methodology for saving energy through a regenerative power system implemented in an elevator, which was declared the Gold Standard for international carbon-credit methodologies, thus paving the way for new carbon-credit value creation.

Beyond elevator energy storage, APh ePower’s innovative hybrid-power technologies also gained strong attention. Compared with gasoline scooters, fuel efficiency is improved by 30%, while carbon emissions are decreased by 80%—and the solution qualifies for carbon-credit applications under the methodologies of the international Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). In addition, APh ePower’s dynamic energy-storage technology is applied in backup battery modules (BBU), offering stable backup power for data centers and enabling cross-rack power allocation. This addresses the rising energy demands of smart factories while enabling high-efficiency, low-emission operation—positioning it as a critical storage technology for AI-driven data centers.
APh ePower also introduced its APh+ Energy Management System, which integrates energy-saving analytics, carbon-point conversion, and financial connectivity to build a shared carbon-credit ecosystem. The platform enables businesses to quantify carbon-reduction benefits and generate tangible ESG value.
APh ePower is currently the only Asian member of the international alliance for energy-storage carbon-credit methodologies, which contributes to the development of global carbon-credit standards. Backed by exclusive patents in dynamic energy storage and proprietary energy-efficiency algorithms, APh ePower proudly embodies the strengths of “Developed in Taiwan, Internationally Certified, Globally Recognized.” The company continues to demonstrate its growing influence in the emerging field of technology-based solutions.
